The Altairs Pant is a tailored wide-leg style crafted from a midweight, herringbone weave hemp fabric. A regular fit pant that features exposed vertical zip pockets at the side seams, a mid-rise waistband with button and zip fly and back welt pockets. This full length, straight wide-leg pant has a modern, elevated feel. Perfect for work or smart-casual occasions, pair with the matching Altairs Jacket for a complete coordinated ensemble.

MATERIALS & CARE

100% Hemp

Woven in a tonal herringbone pattern, this hemp fabric has a soft finish and subtle structure.

Hemp is a natural plant fibre. The hemp plant is naturally pest-resistant and requires minimal water to grow, meaning it demands fewer resources than crops such as conventionally-grown cotton. The hemp used for this fabric has been stripped back to prepare it for textiles using a dew-retting process. Dew-retting makes use of natural sunlight and dew to soften the crop, rather than using intensive chemical or water processes.

MAKER

We have been working with Jimmy Fashions since 2010. They are a smaller, independent supplier with a focus on design and quality, and this is one of our longest standing supplier relationships. With owner Jimmy Shen and his team working closely with our Design and Production departments, this family-owned business has grown with ELK and now supplies much of our woven apparel.

In early 2024, Jimmy installed rooftop solar panels on his factory, and estimates more than 50% of the factory's electricity to come from this renewable source. The factory also undergoes annual SMETA social compliance audits, which are conducted by a third party and provide transparency into worker wellbeing and wages.
