55% Linen 45% Organic Cotton
Made from a blend of dew-retted French linen, and GOTS Certified organic cotton.
Organic Cotton is grown under organic farming standards and therefore does not use any synthetic pesticides during farming. This helps to support healthy soil (which is good for carbon capture), biodiversity, healthier waterways, and results in a lower carbon footprint than conventional cotton.
Linen is a natural plant fibre, grown from the flax plant. The crop itself is naturally pest-resistant and requires minimal water to grow, meaning it demands fewer resources than crops such as conventionally-grown cotton. Linen grown in France follows more traditional methods of growing and processing.

MAKER
We have been working with Jimmy Fashions since 2010. They are a smaller, independent supplier with a focus on design and quality, and this is one of our longest standing supplier relationships. With owner Jimmy Shen and his team working closely with our Design and Production departments, this family-owned business has grown with ELK and now supplies much of our woven apparel.
In early 2024, Jimmy installed rooftop solar panels on his factory, and estimates more than 50% of the factory's electricity to come from this renewable source. The factory also undergoes annual SMETA social compliance audits, which are conducted by a third party and provide transparency into worker wellbeing and wages.
