MATERIAL

70% Merino Wool 30% Recycled Nylon

A knitted yarn with a soft finish. Merino wool is a natural animal fibre. It is known for maintaining warmth while offering breathability, making it a comfortable fibre for layering. Merino wool is especially fine, creating a soft finish that has a lower likelihood of pilling or causing itchiness.

The merino wool for this fibre has been sourced from Australian farms that meet global best-practice standards for responsible husbandry practices which ensure that the sheep are treated with respect and that due environmental care of agricultural land, soil health, waterways and biodiversity is taken.

Recycled nylon is a synthetic, man-made fibre, which is both durable and easy to care for. It is made from pre-consumer and post-consumer plastic waste which is deconstructed and then regenerated into a textile fibre.

SIZE AND FIT

The Emmer Cardigan is a slightly cropped garment, with a regular fit through the body.

The key fit points for this piece are the bust, waist, hem opening, and body length. All garments are measured flat (not on body) and then doubled (except the length) to calculate the total circumference. • Do not rub, wring or spin dry.
• Squeeze out excess water.
• Gently pull wet garment into shape.
• Dry flat in shade.
• Cool iron on reverse.
• Do not use other forms of heat when drying.

MAKER

Manufacturer: Cool Partners (Dongguan, China)

 This knit was made by Cool Partners International who we have been working with since 2016. It was manufactured in their Colt Rise production facility. Knitwear production is highly specialised and Cool Partners are actively working with us to source more sustainable yarns from progressive yarn mills such as UPW and Novetex.

The factory is a member of Sedex and undergoes regular social compliance audits. They have also been partaking in ELK's Sustainability Action Plan program since early 2024, a collaborative initiative that focuses on advancing the factory's environmental and social practices.
